The 2022 list of women-owned businesses shines a light on some locally based companies that help keep Austin on the map.

Companies responding cross multiple industries, services and jobs such as retail, tech, staffing, marketing and all kinds of professional services in between.

Eligible firms must have local headquarters, be at least 51 percent women owned and be able to disclose revenue. ABJ gathers information from list surveys sent to company representatives, along with other ABJ nominations.

This year to top 50 list-makers logged $1.29 billion in revenue during 2021. This is up from $1.2 billion earned by list-makers the year before. While list participation fluctuates, there are 11 companies listed this year that were not included last year.
