The 6th Annual “Words of Hope” Speaker Series will be hosted by Caritas of Austin on May 1st at 11:30am at the Hilton Austin. Caritas of Austin is a non-profit organization that serves those of Travis county who are experiencing poverty or homelessness, by providing a safety net and services to achieve self-sufficiency.

The Words of Hope Speaker Series features an author whose story reflects the Caritas mission. This year’s speaker is Luma Mufleh, Coach of the Fugees and inspiration for the National Bestseller “Outcasts United” by Warren St. John. Like the refugee kids that Coach Mufleh mentors, the children served by Caritas need help meeting their basic needs.
