FALL FUNDRAISER
Texas Health Institute (THI) will hold its Annual Fall Fundraiser “Walking the Walk”on September 16, 2017 at the Charles Johnson House, American Legion Post 76.
The Johnson House is located in downtown Austin at 404 Atlanta Street, on the MoPac (Loop 1) access road off West 6th, next to Lake Austin Pawn.
The event will be held from 3:00 -8:00 p.m.
This year’s fundraiser will be dedicated to the celebration of the Retirement and 70th Birthday of Camille D. Miller, THI’s President for over 22 years. Mrs. Miller is retiring after 40 years of public service in the public and private sector. Miller’s celebrated career began in state government working for Governors Preston Smith, Dolph Briscoe, and Ann Richards and Lieutenant Governors Bill Hobby and Bob Bullock. She worked for Comptroller Bullock, and Senator Judith Zaffirini.
The “Walking the Walk” fundraiser will be family friendly and feature food from The Original Black’s Barbecue, live music, guest speakers, a magic show and a silent auction.
A cash bar will be available. Tickets are on sale now and available HERE!
The silent Auction is live online and bids will be accepted up to September 15, 2017. Auction Winners will be announced at the event. Sponsorship opportunities are available and silent auction items will be accepted until September 10, 2017.
Anyone who can’t make it on September 16th but wishes to make a tax-deductible contribution to Texas Health Institute in Honor of Camille Miller may do so at the same address.
