Vintage IT Services is working hard to ensure all of our clients have access to the tools they need!
The Corona Virus and the resulting governmental stay at home orders have drastically affected both our professional and private lives.
Vintage IT Services is getting more requests than ever from our current clients to help them set up a secure and mobile workforce. Our industry is considered a critical infrastructure industry by the Department of Homeland Security. Thanks to this designation we are still here to help our clients with their critical IT infrastructure and cloud services.
Vintage IT Services is hard at work assisting in setting up VPN connections, cloud data storage, firewalls, configuring remote connections, and anything else we can do to help our clients adjust to these dynamic times. At the same time, we are making sure to follow all directives from our local and national governments.
Here are a few suggestions of what you can do to help your organization’s data stay protected:
- Verify your workstation at home has Anti-Virus software installed and that the “definitions” are up to date.
- Make sure you are always using a secure connection to your office network. (VPN etc.)
- Stay highly vigilant for spear phishing attacks (fake emails)
- Do not give any personal information or your passwords to anyone over the phone or via email unless you know who they are and trust them.
- If you are connecting to your home WiFi make sure that it is password protected and that your router is not using the default admin password.
As a result of our current situation, Vintage IT Services is offering free remote network assessments to help local businesses stay open and running while maintaining their critical IT infrastructure.
