Girl Scouts of Central Texas (GSCTX) hosted a special event with Girl Scouts of the USA CEO, Anna Maria Chávez. As a philanthropic gesture, Vintage IT Services donated the wine for the event. An award winning community leader, Anna Maria has held senior positions in federal and state government, including President Clinton’s administration. She has been recognized as one of the 100 Women Leaders in STEM by STEM connector, and has been featured on the cover of Parade Magazine and in the Wall Street Journal. Along with Condoleezza Rice and Sheryl Sandberg (Facebook COO and author of “Lean In”) she is spearheading the movement to “Ban Bossy”-a fantastic campaign intended to encourage girls into leadership positions without the fear of being labeled as bossy. Fiat of Austin and AW Media sponsored this very special event, and Vintage IT Services is a Juliette’s Circle sponsor.
