Does your organization have any Windows 7 workstations in service?
Windows 7, Server 2008 and Exchange 2010 are forecasted to reach end of life on January 14, 2020.
187 Days until Windows 7 is no longer supported!
Microsoft has announced that it will be ending extended support for Windows 7 on January 14, 2020. After that date, Microsoft will no longer release security patches and updates for Windows 7. This will leave your workstations vulnerable to hackers and malicious software.
While the 2020 deadline is still a few months off, upgrading your operating system isn’t as simple as it sounds. You will want to carefully plan your Windows upgrade, research and test for application compatibility and have IT support available in the case you experience any complications.
Vintage IT Services recommends planning your Windows upgrade as soon as possible to avoid these potential complications and to minimize downtime. This is also the perfect time to adopt some of the cloud solutions your company may be considering.
